THE nATIONAL cAPITAL sECTION
The National Capital Section (NCS) provides an active business community for cost engineering and management professionals in the greater Capital region, serving Northern Virginia, Baltimore, the District of Columbia, Central Maryland, and its adjoining areas. The NCS serves a wide variety of professionals including: cost engineers and managers, project managers, planners and schedulers, estimators and bidders, value engineers, earned value professionals, and claims consultants.
The NCS seeks to support its members in their awareness of the requirements, standards and best practices required for the planning, development, and execution of all aspects of project controls and in the application of total cost management (TCM) to the scope, cost, and schedule of any particular program or project throughout its life-cycle. We aim to achieve these goals through a variety of professional development seminars, field trips, and networking opportunities, to maintain a lively and active forum for NCS members as well as other professional colleagues in the greater Capital region.
