April 2018 Cost Forum

Even though we are still waiting for the seasons to change, there is an air of change in the ranks of the National Capital Section of AACEI! Election results are in, and I would like to congratulate Chowdhary Gondy from CES Consulting who will be taking over as President for the 2018-2020 Term. Joining him are Michael Marcell from K2 Consulting as Vice President and Srini Vanga from Michael Baker International as Secretary. They all have previously served on the Board of Directors, and they are amped up to continue to connect our section and bring you great content in person and digitally. Our new Board of Directors will be comprised of familiar faces as well as some newcomers to continue to innovate and support Chowdhary, Michael and Srini. They will be formally introduced in May once we have our transition meetings and we can get their bios on our website.

Moving forward, we are partnering with the AACEI Baltimore Section for our programs and correspondences. We will share in the opportunities for meeting and connection since many of us commute up and down the I-95 corridor each day. Our Boards will work together to find meeting opportunities that split the travel difference, and we will make our webinars available to all who cannot make it in person.

We have also rescheduled the snowed-out meeting with WBC, Project Risk Management: Practical Tools for Any Project to Wednesday April 18th at 8:30 AM. Join us and the Washington Building Congress to hear Sagar Khadka and Mairav Mintz from MBP teach the value of risk management in every project execution plan and the applicable risk management tools available to suit specific project needs. In Person and Webinar Tickets available below. You will earn .25 credits towards recertification through your attendance.

Also please check out the Federal Agency Roundtable on Friday April 20, 2018

We also are looking for new Section sponsorships for the calendar year. Please contact aacei.ncs.president@gmail.com if interested.
