This will be a joint section meeting with the Atlanta, North Florida, Greater Miami, Toronto, Bruce County, and DC National Capital sections.

Our speaker will be Mike Morrison, CCP FAACEI, the founder and President of Value Management Consulting, Inc. Mr. Morrison will present the basic concepts associated with value studies. He will share his experience as a value team member, which he has done about 150 times as well as the role of a team facilitator, which he has done about 100 times. You will also hear about how the inclusion of an experienced cost professional assists when the team is also charged with incorporating other services for the project owner. These can include risk assessment/analysis, checking the scheduling assumptions against the assumptions for the cost estimate, and constructability issues.
